Hello all,

Obviously, Bloo and I are no longer active on DA.  We've moved cross-country several times (and will again; Bloo is going career Army), are focusing on our photography (booked our first wedding), are going through some pretty big life changes (he's getting ready for medical school, and I'm getting a second degree- goodbye biology, hello art!), have gained a cat and lost a dog (and gained/lost several fish), and have a little BlooDove on the way :-D
If you're truly interested in our lives and have a Facebook, let me know!

Anyway, all that said, I'm leaving this account open.  I think it's wonderful that we still inspire such talented artists to create such lovely works of art.  I've put all of our series into their own folder as well (with a smattering of "featured" poses), so it should be easier to browse through our gallery.  Also, as I received several notes asking about various things, here's an update on the usage rules.  If you have any questions about using our stock, please read through the following.  If you still have questions, please email me at DoveKT@gmail.com; this is the only way you're guaranteed to get ahold of me.

Thank you all for the wonderful ride!

Cheers,
Dove

USAGE RULES

i. Our stock is free to use for any deviantART member.
NOTE: Our stock is only available on deviantART.  I want it to remain that way.  I don't care if there are links back to our stock from other sites, but I don't want the source files anywhere but here.

ii.  You do not need prior permission to use our stock.

iii.  Please link back to BlooDoveStock if you use any of our stock.  Also, give us a link to your artwork, either in a note or comment.
NOTE: Just because we're not active on here anymore doesn't mean I don't want to see what's being done with our image (and our bodies, faces, etc).  I pop in from time to time to check up on things.  I will try to favourite everything done with our stock.  If I find out people are using our stock without crediting us, I'll end up deleting this account.

iv:  You may submit artwork using our stock for print on deviantART.
NOTE:  You may, of course, sell your artwork and prints.  It's yours.  It must not be commercial- that is, it cannot be mass produced, for profit, in a campaign or otherwise.

v.  Work may be submitted off deviantART, but please link back to BlooDoveStock and send us a note with a link to your offsite artwork.
NOTE:  I have no problem with art that has our stock being used off dA, IF we are credited.  If it's a background for a site, then make sure you credit us in an "about" section or something.  If it's a signature, then put credits on the graphic itself.  Gallery collection?  A link back here in the description.  Etc.  And yes, I still want a note with a link, please.

vi:  Our stock is to be used in noncommercial artwork.  If you wish to use it for commercial purposes, you must discuss it with us first.
AMENDED 2/21/13: Our stock is to be used ONLY in noncommercial artwork.  The only blanket exception to this rule is if you are only using our stock as reference- that is, you create a new piece of art, either digital or traditional.  Photomanipulations MUST not be for commercial use.  If you really have a burning desire to use our stock commercially, you MUST email me at DoveKT@gmail.com to discuss it; be aware, that if it's something I'm not personally interested in, I'll probably want royalties.  Keep in mind that a lack of a response is NOT permission.
NOTE:  This does not mean you can't sell your artwork or prints.  See iv.  It cannot be used in a commercial campaign, mass produced, etc.  No book covers (unless you've talked to me first)!

vii:  Our stock is not to be used in any way that violates deviantART TOS.  Please do not submit art into the photography category (ie, darkroom) without our prior consent.
AMENDED 2/21/13:  Do not submit art into the photography category at all.

viii.  We have the right to ask you to remove artwork using our stock at any time.  We will never do this without good reason.
This also applies to artwork posted off deviantART.  If the website you link to us is deemed inappropriate (porn, cruelty/torture, hate, so on), we will ask you to remove it... just follow dA TOS as a guideline everywhere and we're good.

ix. (ADDED 2/21/13)  I reserve the right to share your artwork- with proper credentials and links back- to showcase how we've been used as models in art.  If this truly bothers you (it's free publicity, mind you), please don't use our stock-- and you might want to rethink sharing anything on the internet.
NOTE: As of right now, this simply means a small facebook gallery with a few of my favourites.  When I modeled, a few went into my modeling portfolio.  All are web resolution.  Also, if you have already used our stock (and I faved it) and don't want it shared, please let me know.

Welp, there goes our first series in, ah, a long time.  I hope it inspires some people!

I still have a series on the vein of Dragon, and I spent a couple hours this afternoon putting together a grabbag of various photos to upload as filler.

I have some lovely dresses from Ebay that I will probably play dress up in soon, and pictures will be taken.  We've also almost cleared out enough space to do a home studio again, which I'm looking forward to.

Anywho, enjoy, and I'll see you again soon!

So, I haven't been on here in, um, a long time.  That's what happens when your other half leaves to go Army, and you find yourself working 10 hours a day in a stressful job.

So what happens when you disappear for a year?  Apparently you get a DD.  On top of that, apparently that DD becomes wildly controversial.  And then you find out about it at 2AM in the morning, 6 months later.

Anyway, wow.  Thank you, all of you, who congratulated us.  And thank you to everyone who actually thought about the issue of race, even though that's not what was meant by "diversity."

...

That said, yay!  And thank you to everyone who's still coming by and using our stock.  We're still alive, although we're in Washington now (quite a change from Texas).  Also, we're going to start shooting stock again!  Double yay!

I'm unemployed, quite happily, and thus have free time on my hands again, which is rather amazing.  I'm going to spend the next 6 months relaxing and re-exploring my visual arts side.  I am modeling again, semi-professionally (I occasionally get paid now), and Bloo is happily doing his Army thing and getting quite buff.  I have a few shots that I'll post soon, and we'll do some more couple-themed work in the next month or so.

I adore you all- keep creating your beautiful art!

It's been a long time.

We both apologize for our, ah, disappearance.  You know... life and stuff.  And I suppose it's fair that we give you a brief overview.

We recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary.  We've been good- Texas is treating us well.  We still rescue cats, and we've rescued and rehomed 2 dogs as well.  I work as a research technician at a local university, and my summer has been spent in the field, catching and observing lizards.  Bloo cut his hair, volunteers at a pediatric ward, and ships off for training with the Army in a couple of weeks.  He's going active duty, medical lab technician, and plans on applying for OCS (to be an officer) during his first duty station, and we plan on trying for a family (ie, babiez) late this year.  In a few weeks, I will be working with a realtor and finding a place to rent for the next couple of years... I've never had the chance to take the time to find a good place, so I am extremely excited to be, well, acting like adult.

So, brief it is, but perhaps this explains a little bit about our extended absence.

I do have some stock photos taken a few months back- Glacies will be finished in the coming winter- that I need to post sometime.  Bloo and I may try to take some before he ships, but updates will be irregular.

I do truly appreciate all of y'alls support and continuing interest in our stock.  I love to glance at our page and see that people are still inspired by us and creating art.  It's an amazing feeling.  I will do my best to catch up on comments, thanks, and watches... but if I don't, please please know it's not on purpose.  I simply have trouble finding time to breathe, much less sit down at the computer for an extended period.

Hugs and chaste kisses,
MadamDove

Glacies MU by MadamDove

I am uploading, slowly, the second part of Glacies.  The third and final part of the series will go up next Saturday.

I apologize for my lack of communication AND the lack of a complete upload.  My research project for work (lizard parasite load vs habitat) got a go-ahead and full funding ($21,000).  Along with staying busy on making sure we stay in budget (I'm retrofitting an old microscope), classes are about to start again and we've been getting ready for that.  And as for uploading, I was hit with a killer migraine last night and have only now been well enough to work on the computer again.  So, the pictures and my replies to comments may trickle in, but they will all get done!

That said, a huge thank you for the positive reviews, comments, and use of the Glacies series, Part I!  I think they'll get a showcase all of their own.

With cheers and apology,
MadamDove

Glacies Fairytale

There was a beautiful princess of the winter kingdom.  She was renowned for her beauty across the land, but it was also said she had cold heart.  She treated all potential suitors with an icy demeanor, for she had been betrothed since birth to an evil king as treaty for peace, and she knew that her kingdom would be at risk if she ever tempted her heart.

One day, a new man was appointed to the princess's personal guard.  He was always around the princess, and she began to flirt with him.  Although it was a game to her, she became more curious and interested.  As she realized her feelings were changing, she began to take even more pains to remind the guard that he was a commoner, and she a princess out of his reach.  And as tends to happen, they began to fall in love.

After many months of this treatment, the guard threw down his sword and left, proclaiming he would find a way to be worthy of her hand.  She, afraid for his life and afraid for what she brought about, wept by his sword for days.  The kingdom grew worried, and there was much talk, both of the heartbroken princess and the potential anger of the dark king if found out her heart was no longer his to claim.

After many days, the princess was about to give up all hope.  Her duty was to her kingdom and her people, and if love had no place, then she would be loveless.  From the town below, she heard commotion and cheering, but had no interest.  The princess began to get to her feet, with the intention of discontinuing her vigil for her beloved guard, when suddenly she heard her name called softly by a familiar voice.  Afraid to recognize what her heart rang as truth, she looked behind her and saw her guard, now wearing a crown.  He was holding his hand out towards her, a smile on his face and his eyes full of love and pride.

When the princess did not move and her eyes filled with tears, for she was unsure if she was dreaming or awake, the once-guard laughed and pulled her to her feet.  He told her of what had happened since he'd left, how he had traveled the world, slain many a monster, and had finally traveled to the dark king's land and challenged him.  They had fought for many a day, and the sky had grown dark with their battle, but finally the guard had slain the evil man.  All swore fealty to their new king, and he was heralded as a great warrior and as a shining beacon of hope to a land that once cowered in fear from their ruler.

The princess heard his story, and while her eyes were still full of tears, they were now tears of happiness and joy.  The couple walked, hand in hand, to the princess' castle, and the winter kingdom was full of light and happiness.

After all, their princess's beloved guard was now a king, and as everyone knows, a king needs a queen by his side.  And so they were married, lived happily ever after, and their story forever lived on in legend, made immortal by their unbroken love.
